Prices

All prices shown are effective from 1st April 2016 – 31st March 2017 and supersede all previous prices. Prices include an educational discount and are not structured to include carriage charges. Prices are exclusive of VAT, this will be added to all UK and EC orders (where applicable) at the current rate. Whilst we endeavour to maintain our catalogue and website prices we reserve the right to vary our prices in accordance with economic conditions without prior notice. Any price reductions will be passed onto the customer in the same way. Errors or omissions are subject to alteration without notice.

Terms

Payment terms are nett monthly account. Please notify us of any shortages or damage within 24hrs of delivery and in the case of non-delivery within 10 days of the date of invoice. Any goods conveyed to customers remain the property of Technology Supplies Ltd until paid for in full, but liability for those goods transfers to the customer upon receipt. All business is transacted under our Terms and Conditions of Business, copies of which we are happy to supply upon request.

Delivery

We endeavour to despatch all orders within 1-4 working days of receipt of order. We can deliver during school holidays if the school is open. Please advise us if delivery cannot be made during school holidays. If an order is incomplete when fi rst despatched, we do not charge carriage on the ‘to follow’ items.

Product Availability

We are continually seeking to improve the quality and value of our goods and services. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the information given in this catalogue is accurate, changes do occur and goods can be modifi ed or discontinued by the manufacturer. In this event we will offer as close an alternative as possible. We do reserve the right to change specifi cations or improve our goods. Being a distributor of all the major brand names we can also quote for items which may not be in our catalogue.

We have no minimum order charge and accept orders by telephone, fax, post and email. If you have an account with us you can order online

Carriage - UK Mainland

All orders will be delivered FREE of charge providing the order value is over £500 (ex. VAT) for UK mainland only. The only exception to this are products which carry extra carriage charges such as workshop machinery, workbenches (those that exceed a weight allowance of 25kg) and includes products that exceed 1.8m in length. These items are marked in the catalogue.

The number of parcels is determined by the total weight and the shape/size of the goods and our standard courier delivery service is 24 hours unless otherwise requested.

Orders under £500 (ex VAT) will carry delivery charges as follows:
Parcels up to 1kg ‘Packet Post’: £3.89
Parcels over 1kg: £7.95 (1st box) & £5.65 (all subsequent boxes including tracking and signature)
Priority 10am service: £14.95
Priority 12pm service: £11.95

Special Request Items

Items not listed in the catalogue or bespoke items made to order (such as circular saw blades, band saw blades, drill guards etc) may have longer lead times. Delivery for these items will be charged at our standard rates. Please enquire at the time of ordering.

Deliveries made direct from suppliers

Some of our products will be delivered to you direct from suppliers, which may incur additional leadtimes and charges. If these charges apply you will be advised at the time of ordering. Carriage will be charged at cost. 

Hazardous Goods

Items designated as Hazardous Goods are subject to specifi c despatch regulations and as such will be despatched by our designated ‘Standard Parcel Service – over 1kg’ and will be charged at that rate. Overseas despatch of Hazardous Goods will be sent by International Standard Parcel Service. Please ask for a quotation at the time of ordering. Returns Statement

We offer a free returns service where items have:

  • Been sent by us in error; or
  • Been damaged in transit; or
  • Become faulty.

It is our normal practice to offer a refund or exchange in respect of damaged items. We need to be notifi ed of damage within 24hrs of receipt of goods. Returned items need to be adequately packaged before return to us. They will then be examined upon return, and may be sent to the manufacturer for further investigation, before you are advised of the appropriate course of action e.g. replacement item or refund. If within 12 months of despatch, an item becomes faulty this will only be replaced if it is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, and if following inspection, that the fault has not been caused by incorrect use, lack of maintenance, general wear and tear etc. Please note we cannot accept the return of Hazardous Goods. Unauthorised goods returned without a valid RMA number will be refused.

Returns Policy for Stock Items

Where a stock item is not available, a like for like alternative may be supplied (although this will be discussed with you prior to despatch). If upon receipt, the alternative is not acceptable these items can be returned to us, at your cost. Before returning any goods, please contact our Customer Service Department for authorisation.

Where items have been incorrectly ordered, or you change your mind, you must contact our Customer Service Department (0845 567 0000) within 28 days of dispatch for authorisation to return the goods. You will be responsible for the carriage charges to return the goods to us, and in some cases a re-stocking fee may apply. All items must be returned in saleable condition (unused), in their original undamaged packaging together with all paperwork etc. We will consider the overall condition of the item(s) being returned when making a refund and only unused items will be refunded.

We recommend that proof of postage is obtained when returning any items to us. Please do not return any items to us without fi rst obtaining the necessary authorisation from our Customer Services Department 0845 567 0000. You will be given an RMA number which must be quoted on your parcel and all documentation.

 

Returns Policy for Non Stock Items

If we have supplied an item bought in at your request/specification, it is normally NOT possible to return these items, if correctly supplied by us.

In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to return non-stock items but this may incur a re-stocking charge of 20% and items are to be returned at your cost. Please contact Customer Services for further information.

However, if for any reason you should have a complaint, please call our direct line 01743 442897. We hope to sort out your complaint while you're on the phone, but if this isn’t possible, we will agree a course of action with you.
