Ian Dobinson

Project Manager - South of England
After qualifying as an Electrical Engineer after leaving school and a following 30 years working in the construction industry, Ian offers a realm of experience and expertise in engineering and construction. He has been with Technology Supplies Ltd since January 2005 and has undertaken several roles within the company. He began working within the installations team before being promoted to Senior Site Engineer before finally being appointed as Project Manager for the South of England. Ian’s experience in several roles means he has developed a thorough understanding of the Installation process, stages and challenges within it; offering his customers complete piece of mind throughout their installation. Working with customers from both the education and construction sector, Ian understands that no two projects are the same and strives to meet each and every client’s individual needs.


Tim Arundell

Project Manger - North of England & Scotland
Tim is a time served Mechanical Engineer and has worked in Manufacturing, Maintenance and the Water industry. Moving into education he taught a range of subjects within the Design and Technology arena, finally being appointed as Deputy Head of Faculty and Head of Engineering. He has worked for Technology Supplies for 10 years, working on a variety of refurbished workshops in the North of England and Scotland. Tim’s experience in industry and education equips him with a wealth of knowledge and experience, continuously proving to be an asset to his customers and a huge contributor towards many seamless installations delivered on time and on budget.


Peter O Connor

Project Manager – Midlands, Wales & North West
Peter comes with years of experience in the classroom, after 24 very enjoyable years teaching Craft, Design & Technology.  He had various roles in his teaching career including subject teacher, teacher training mentor, Faculty Head (18 years) senior exam moderator and subject examiner across 20 years with several examination boards OCR / AQA and still retains a great love of this exciting subject.  Seeking a new challenge but wishing to remain associated with education Peter joined TSL in 2006.  Peters experiences in teaching and management afford him a good perspective of the challenges teaching and managerial staff face in providing the very best opportunities for successful curriculum delivery of the subject in its various guises; both traditional and via the new exciting and challenging aspects created out of emerging technologies.

Brian Haley
Project Manager - South Midlands and East
Brian has been with Technology Supplies for over 10 years as Project Manager for the South Midlands and East, managing a realm of installations from refurbishments to brand new workshops. Brian comes with a previous background of over 10 years in teaching and prior to his current role was a Head of the Technology Faculty at a large Comprehensive School in East London for 6 years. In this role he was in charge of all D&T Areas including Res Mat, Graphics, Product Design, Electronics, System and Control, Art, Textiles and Food Tech. His first teaching post was as Head of Upper School D&T at a split site school in North Essex, specialising in A Level Design Technology, GNVQ Engineering and A Level Product Design.

After leaving school, he completed a 4 year apprenticeship in purpose made joinery, and worked as a bespoke Shop Fitter/Joiner designing, making and installing many commercial fit-out projects.  Brian’s experience in the classroom means that he understands the rewards of teaching but also fully understands and relates to the challenges teachers face on a daily basis.  Experience as a teacher along with an active background fitting installations himself, means he is continuously ensuring customer needs are met to the highest standards.
