	Polaroid Analyser Ref: 280-189 This simple apparatus allows students to experience the ideas behind polarisation stress analysis. The equipment consists of a pair of crossed polaroid sheets on a support system. The polaroids have a working area of 55 x 70mm. Two special transparent plastic shapes are included which allow stress patterns to be demonstrated when forces are applied to a structure and then the structure is weakened. Additional material is available to enable teachers to construct their own structures for analysis. The system also demonstrates pressing stresses in such objects as protractors and rulers. With suitable projection equipment the images can be displayed on a screen for whole class viewing or a class set enables students to see the effects for themselves. £18.99(Excluding: VAT at 17.5%)
